The 2025 Fuel to Go & Play Red Ball Competitions officially came to a close after the final event in Collie last Friday. An exciting statewide tour that brought tennis fun, participation, and great sportsmanship to schools across Western Australia.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s competitions took the Tennis West Schools Team far and wide, from Busselton, Dumbleyung, Goldfields, Margaret River, Merredin, Mount Lawley, Onslow Park, Esperance, Wembley Downs, York, Sorrento, Kardinya, Midland, South Mandurah, Mandurah, Ocean Ridge, Midwest (Geraldton\/Tarcoola), Narrogin, Blue Gum Park, Tenterden right through to Collie, reaching students in both metro and regional communities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Across the series of events, we were thrilled to welcome 94 schools and 2,880\u00a0students across the 24 events to experience the joy of competitive tennis in a fun and supportive Red Ball format.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The events provided primary school students with their first taste of interschool tennis, encouraging participation, teamwork, and skill development, all in a modified match play environment designed for young players. These competitions continue to play an important role in inspiring long-term engagement with tennis and helping students find their pathway into the sport.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tennis West extends sincere gratitude to Healthway, Kinetic, and MaxiBlock for their ongoing support of the Red Ball Competitions. Their support has been instrumental in bringing these competitions to life and ensuring students across WA have access to quality, inclusive tennis opportunities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking back on this year’s successful RBC\u2019s, Charlotte Connon, Tennis West Schools and Pathways Officer \u2013 North said:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
