Tennis West is delighted to\u00a0recognise\u00a0Rob DeGruchy from\u00a0Dunsborough\u00a0Tennis Club\u00a0as our\u00a0Club Corner Volunteer of the Month\u00a0for November 2025.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For more than three years, Rob has been an essential part of the club\u2019s maintenance committee, continually going\u00a0above and beyond\u00a0to keep the club in top shape and its community thriving. His dedication begins at sunrise, often seen blowing the courts, watering the gardens, emptying bins, and mowing lawns before most members have even arrived.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0organising\u00a0new sheds, pathways, or pin-up boards, repairing nets, or clearing storm-damaged courts and drains, Rob ensures that the facilities are always safe, clean, and welcoming. Thanks to his efforts, the courts are open and ready\u00a0for\u00a0play each\u00a0day,\u00a0complete with balls set out for social sessions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But Rob\u2019s contributions extend well beyond maintenance.\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0the club\u2019s\u00a0bus driver for social events, BBQ chef, and even Santa at the annual Christmas function.\u00a0Known for his enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to lend a hand, Rob brings a special energy to every event,\u00a0from fundraisers to fun days, where\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0often crowned\u00a0<\/span>best dressed<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Always the first to arrive and the last to leave, Rob embodies the true spirit of community sport,\u00a0generous, reliable, and endlessly positive.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Dunsborough\u00a0Tennis Club committee shared:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
