It\u2019s the final round of fixtures before the Junior ITF two-week bye gives the players a chance to re-group and access where they are. Fixtures this week will be critical as teams look to leave the first half of the season on the right foot.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s State League\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Claremont v Mt Lawley<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Friday 14<\/span>th<\/span> November – 6 pm, Claremont Lawn Tennis Club<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a lot on the line in this match. Mt Lawley goes into the match in first position on the ladder after impressive wins against Alexander Park and Royal Kings Park. Their other two matches were washed out, and they were challenged by a young UWA side and were right in the battle against Cottesloe. This matchup will be a true test to see where they are up against a side which boasts most of last year\u2019s premiers from Peppermint Grove.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After a strong start to their campaign, Claremont lost their last two matches against Alexander Park and Royal Kings Park \u2013 two teams Mt Lawley have beaten. The make-up of the Claremont side will be one to watch as they have already used a total of seven players. Ethan Cook and Jayden Court have only played once and will be due for another match soon.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hans Bustiman (Claremont) is the form player, having won three of his three singles ties. Bustiman may face another in-form player in Reuben Giorgio (Mt Lawley) who has also seen much success with three wins out of three so far this season. Both have been playing in the second and third position and may face off against each other.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Its been a bit of a shock start to Hensman Park\u2019s title defence, with the home side going down to Cottesloe and Dalkeith earlier in the season. While they have lost two matches, Hensman Park still remains in second spot, however the result of this match will see lots of movement.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UWA are no strangers to close games this season, with the new side playing out three tight battles with the result going each way. They came off a strong round four performance, winning their first game of the season against Dalkeith.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UWA have had great consistency with their team thus far, with Amy Findlay, Sunny Youn and Sheryl Halim all playing every game. Kendal MacDonald has played two of them and is the only undefeated player in singles so far this season for UWA.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Hensman Park, Anja Dokic is the form player, winning her past two matches against Mahta Khanloo and Lauren Nikoloski. A win for either side will see them consolidate a top two spot.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
