As the 2025\/26 Tennis West Junior State League Season approaches, the anticipation builds as teams and players are confirmed and ready to go.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With an increased focus on Junior State League this season and a diverse lineup of promising newcomers, this season is set to be a riveting showcase of top-tier junior tennis talent. Let\u2019s take a closer look at the Junior State League teams nominated for this season.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

GIRL\u2019S JUNIOR STATE LEAGUE TEAMS\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mosman Park\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: New to Competition<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The newly formed Mosman Park is set to hit the ground running in the competition with Sara Nikolic leading the charge. Sara brings a wealth of talent having represented Australia at the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals in the Czech Republic and is a current Women\u2019s State League player for Royal Kings Park. Sara is joined by Keisha Halim, Teodora Strbac, Eva Ishchenko and Lila Sekulov.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hensman Park\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 1<\/span>st<\/span> on ladder<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After finishing first on the ladder last season but falling short in the semi finals, Hensman Park will be out for revenge and they come into the season with a strong team, headlined by 2025 Women\u2019s WA Open Winner, 2025 Australian Teams Championship\u00a0WA representative and current Women\u2019s State League player Karin Hiramatsu. Addison\u00a0Franklin is also one to keep an eye out after competing in the WA State Final Playoffs this month.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Greenwood\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: Finalists<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Greenwood were so close to winning last season after coming from third on the ladder. The team is joined by 2025 Australian Teams Championship representative and Royal Kings Park State League player Claudia Shearwood who headlines the side. Returning to the team from last season is Misty Woodhouse, Liana Polozani, Katrina Chernyshenko, Amelia Miloseski, Stephanie Vochescu and Andrea Savic.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mt Lawley\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 2<\/span>nd<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mt Lawley side could be one to keep an eye out on with Isabelle Chiew and Sophie Bacea-Anton improving each year. The pair represented WA in the 2025 Australian Teams Championship in the Under 13\u2019s division and will be a force to be reckoned with this season.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UWA\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 5<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There has been some change to the UWA side over the off season. The team has added Isabelle Criddle to bolster the side. Criddle tasted Women\u2019s State League action for Peppermint Grove last year and now plays for Dalkeith. Jovana Novakovic, Chloe Tyers, Lucy Gibson and inaugural Green Ball Nationals 10\/U champion Grace Gribbon round out the new talent.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cottesloe\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: New to competition<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While they may be new to the competition in 2025\/26, Cottesloe will come in strong with a combination of players from last season. Girl\u2019s Under 16 State Final winner Jasmin Heapes joins the team along with Champion of Champions Women\u2019s winner Elena Manoj, younger sister Mayla Manoj, 2025 Australian Teams Championship WA representative and Girl\u2019s Under 12 State Final winner Amelia Hilton, Naomi Mariana Vakadranu and Leni Vila.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BOY\u2019S JUNIOR STATE LEAGUE TEAMS\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Greenwood\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: New to Competition<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

New to the league this season and will come in strong straight away with Nemanja Savic joining them. Savic has had plenty of experience in the men\u2019s State League playing for Alexander Park, the Makesar brothers Rishi and Suyash also form a strong lineup along with Dylan Chuah and Jose Adaikkalam.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

North Beach\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 4<\/span>th<\/span> & made the final<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The North Beach side finished last season\u2019s impressive run just short of glory but will be out to go one further with a consistent side that will have most of its players returning. Regulars like Elroi Chiripamberi, Leo Terrade and Korbin Priestly return to the side.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UWA\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 2<\/span>nd<\/span> & 6<\/span>th<\/span> & Premiers<\/span><\/p>\n

The UWA side fielded two teams in the Junior State League last season and came away with decent results. Now with just the one side, the team is strong as expected with Sehun Park leading the way. Sehun has had the best possible start to the summer season after getting ITF Men\u2019s experience, playing in the qualifiers of the Perth Pro Tours in October. The rest of the side is similar to last year with WA State team representative Knox Treasure, Dustin Clegg, Keisuke Kogo, Parth Mohan and Men\u2019s State League player Benajmin Galvao all playing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hensman Park\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 5<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Hensman Park side last year just fell short of finals but had strong showings which will continue this season with Aidan Chan improving as each year goes by. Aidan has represented WA and Australia this season and will be the one to watch. Elijah Liu and Kian Hiramatsu also return to the side.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cottesloe\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: New to competition<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Just their girl\u2019s counterparts, the boy\u2019s side is also new to this season and comes with a new team and players from multiple clubs. Sam Mitchell joins from North Beach, while the Sutisna brothers, WA State team representative Lucas Sirbu and Boy\u2019s Under 12 2025 WA State Final\u00a0winner Trey Phillips come from UWA.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reabold\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 1<\/span>st<\/span> on ladder<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Reabold side were unstoppable last season until the semi-final so the team will be out for redemption. The Reabold side bring over Trevor Eastwood from North Beach and Liam McDowell who will play for UWA in the Men\u2019s State League to bolster their team while maintaining chemistry with Daniel and Adam Miller.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Applecross 1 & 2\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25 Finish: 3<\/span>rd<\/span> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Applecross has had a busy off season, extending their squad they need two teams in the competition. All their\u00a0players remain the same and have been split up. Casey Ewart\u00a0leads Casey with the likes of Lincoln Duckett who has Men\u2019s State League experience playing while Curtis Tranchita leads Curtis with Daniel Hardy, Dylan Evans and Nicholas Morgan all playing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
