Last year, Perth locals Alice Stevens and Hans Bustiman claimed the women\u2019s and men\u2019s singles titles against Mahta Khanloo and Casey Ambler respectively in a rain affected final.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Entries for the WA Open are open with both draws cut to 32 players in total. Entries close Friday 12 September.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The tennis action intensifies a week later with the start of the two Men\u2019s ITF M25 Perth Tennis International \u00a0#1 and #2. The Australian Pro Tour represents a series of 30 professional ITF World Tennis Tour and ATP Challenger tournaments held annually, in Australia, over 15 weeks between September and April.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In Australia, the Pro Tour calendar offers a total prize money pool of over US$1.4 million dollars annually providing players with a competitive pathway; all-important earning opportunities, and ATP\/WTA Tour world ranking points that facilitate a players livelihood as a professional player. The Calendar offers a range of different level tournaments to accommodate for professional players at different stages on the competitive pathway. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">After the resounding success of the W75 women\u2019s Pro Tour events in recent years, this year\u2019s tournament pivots to the Men\u2019s World Tennis Tour, offering a fresh platform for WA\u2019s emerging male talent to shine on home soil against international athletes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This transition follows a golden period for WA women\u2019s tennis, with Talia Gibson, Maddison Inglis, and Taylah Preston making waves on the international stage. Gibson captured headlines in 2024 by winning her first W75 Perth International title in a thrilling three-set final against Inglis then backing it up with a win the W75 Perth International #2.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Now, the spotlight turns to the men. The M25 event, offering USD$30,000 in prizemoney and\u00a0ATP World ranking points, will feature a 32-player singles main draw and a 16-team doubles draw.
