It has not had a comprehensive review since at least 2018. As part of its recent governance review, the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries (<strong>Department<\/strong>) has recommended a review of the Constitution, particularly for Tennis West to achieve the highest rating across all Principles in in the Sport Australia Sports Governance Standards.<\/p>\n<p>Proposed areas of constitution review are outlined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/4b8gJu9\">Constitution Briefing Paper\u00a0<\/a>which can be downloaded and read.\u00a0The current Tennis West Constitution can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/files\/2021\/12\/Tennis-West-Constitution-2021-adopoted-at-SGM-20-07-2021-1.pdf\">found here<\/a> or on our website for reference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feedback from the members<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is imperative that Tennis West\u2019s members have the opportunity to review the Constitution and provide feedback about the direction of this foundational document of the organisation. There will be the opportunity for written submissions and attendance at both online and in-person forums for discussion about the Constitution, in the first quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Once the member feedback is considered, it is proposed that the Board will call a Special General Meeting in June 2025, to table proposed constitution changes for approval.
