The clash will take place under lights on the hard courts of Blue Gum Park Tennis Club.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blue Gum Park Tennis Club<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The team will be a younger side this week with Aaron Addison and Ethan Cook not playing although it won&#8217;t hamper the side with Blue Gum Park defeating a strong Peppermint Grove last week in a nail bitter, winning by one set. Jay Fairclough leads the team taking the number one spot for the second consecutive week and will be joined by Brendan Jayaprakash in the number two spot.\u00a0Brendan Jayaprakash and Rory Marles are in form having both won their singles matches last week and teamed up in the doubles to win their tie.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"TextRun SCXW132409904 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW132409904 BCX0\">Mt Lawley\/Sorrento Tennis Club<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Led by captain Jerome Iaconi, the newly formed team are yet to win a match this season but have been very competitive in both their matches, going down to UWA on the clay courts in a tight 2 rubbers to 4 and losing in round one to Peppermint Grove by just 4 games. The key to their good performances is their depth with Casey Ambler and Michael Faulkner winning both their singles matches last week against UWA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Match Up 1:\u00a0<span class=\"TextRun SCXW65846502 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW65846502 BCX0\">Jay Fairclough (Blue Gum Park) v Jerome Iaconi (Mt Lawley\/Sorrento)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jay Fairclough is a young 18-year-old right-handed player\u00a0who\u00a0won his first-round match up against Daniel Downey 7-6, 6-1 but lost in round 2 as the number one seeded player to Peppermint Grove\u2019s Brandon Walkin 6-0, 6-4.\u00a0Jerome Iaconi\u00a0also lost to Peppermint Grove\u2019s Brandon Walkin in straight sets 6-0, 7-6 and\u00a0is yet to win a singles match so far this season so will be looking to get his first win on the board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Match Up 2:\u00a0<span class=\"TextRun SCXW1264148 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW1264148 BCX0\">Brendan Jayaprakash (Blue Gum Park) v Casey Ambler (Mt Lawley\/Sorrento)<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW1264148 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The match-up between Jayaprakash and Ambler should be a good contest with both players are undefeated and yet to lose a singles tie.\u00a0Brendan Jayaprakash is another young 18-year-old right-handed player\u00a0who\u00a0is coming into the match with form having won his first two matches and is yet to drop a set.
