On Wednesday Night, Tennis West announced and celebrated the WA State Teams selected to represent Western Australia at the 2023 Australian Teams Championships held on the Gold Coast next week.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The players, in U11s, U13s and U15s age groups, were presented with their new State Team uniforms by their team manager.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The players were joined by their family and friends as well as their private coaches to celebrate their selection and share the excitement for the upcoming tour.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tennis West Chief Executive Officer Brett Patten briefly spoke about what it meant to represent Western Australia and encouraged the players to embrace the challenge and enjoy the experience.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The players were selected for the team based on their recent performances and UTR for their age group.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The teams will travel to the Gold Coast where the Championships commence on Friday, 23rd June for the U11\u2019s and U13\u2019s and the U15\u2019s beginning on Tuesday, 27th June and running until Sunday, 2nd July.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBeing part of the WA State Team is a great opportunity for the athletes to represent WA and compete against the other states in a team environment.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The team environment is great for the players and to have a coach on the court during the matches will be a great learning tool for them,\u201d said National Development Squad Coach, WA Goran Marijan.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
