{"id":18133,"date":"2022-12-22T08:53:16","date_gmt":"2022-12-22T00:53:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/?p=18133"},"modified":"2022-12-22T08:53:42","modified_gmt":"2022-12-22T00:53:42","slug":"south-west-league-wraps-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/news\/2022\/12\/22\/south-west-league-wraps-up","title":{"rendered":"South West League Wraps Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The South West Adult and Junior League wrapped up over the weekend after six weekends of fixtures.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The newly formed South West Adult League is the first competition of its type in the South West for over a decade.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The league consisted of 120 players from seven local clubs associated in the South West which included clubs such as Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Brunswick, Collie and Australind.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A total of 14 mixed gender teams across three divisions competed in the six-week event across Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It was a nail-biting finish with Busselton TNT and Bunbury Jets both tied on total matches, sets and games won, becoming joint pennant winners in Division A.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Division B was won by the Bunbury Braves, and in similar circumstances to Division A, Division C was shared on points with Brunswick and South West Dream Team.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Alongside the South West Adult League, was the return of the South West Junior League where approximately 50 girls and boys over two divisions (Yellow Ball and Orange Ball) competed for their respective clubs.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The final was held at Bunbury Tennis Club with Team Inglis featuring Tao Hely, Cameron Cockburn, Anthony Achmad and Riley Mitchell wining the Yellow Ball Division.
