{"id":17225,"date":"2022-01-28T11:31:41","date_gmt":"2022-01-28T03:31:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/?p=17225"},"modified":"2022-01-28T11:36:34","modified_gmt":"2022-01-28T03:36:34","slug":"no-limits-for-former-pro-jessica-moore-in-ais-accelerate-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/news\/2022\/01\/28\/no-limits-for-former-pro-jessica-moore-in-ais-accelerate-program","title":{"rendered":"No Limits for Former Pro Jessica Moore in AIS Accelerate Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bringing together current and former female athletes from 13 different sports, the <strong>Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Accelerate Program<\/strong> supports the professional development of female athletes to further progress their career prospects in sport.<\/p>\n<p>Former professional tennis player, Jessica Moore, is one of 22 diverse and interesting women who were selected to take part in the program. Jess \u2013 the only athlete representing tennis \u2013 will join Olympians, Paralympians, Commonwealth Games athletes and world champions from a range of sports including beach volleyball, netball, rowing, water polo, athletics and cycling.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its second year, the AIS Accelerate Program is designed to increase the number and visibility of women in sport leadership by providing career coaching and leadership development for high performance athletes.<\/p>\n<p>Jess said there were many aspects of the program that she was looking forward to.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNewly retired, it\u2019s a great chance to network and share stories with fellow athletes,\u201d Jess said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opportunity to upskill and learn the tools to increase confidence and, hopefully, the opportunities available within the sport sector will be highly beneficial.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jess made her Grand Slam debut at Australian Open 2007 and ended her professional playing career at Australian Open 2020, and has since turned her attention to developing her coaching skills. The former world No 52-ranked doubles player began her off-court career in a Scholarship Coach role as part of Tennis Australia\u2019s Females in Tennis initiative and is now Talent Programs Assistant Coach for Tennis NSW.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting female athletes both in and out of the sporting arena and helping drive a positive narrative around female leaders in sport, the AIS Accelerate Program consists of learning modules to support athletes who are pursuing career options in the sport sector workforce.
