Notice is hereby given for the 118th\u00a0Annual General Meeting<\/strong>\u00a0of the Western Australian Tennis Association (Inc) trading as ‘Tennis West’ to be held on\u00a0Tuesday 23 November 2021\u00a0<\/strong>commencing at\u00a06.30pm<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0Blue Gum Park Tennis Club<\/strong>\u00a0(Disney Street, Brentwood)<\/p>\n

Please note the following important information:<\/p>\n

Venue<\/strong>
\nThe AGM will this year be held at\u00a0Blue Gum Park Tennis Club<\/strong>, located at Disney Street, Brentwood at\u00a06.30pm<\/strong>, with doors opening from 6pm.<\/p>\n

Annual General Meeting RSVP<\/strong>
\nYou MUST register to attend, whether online or in person. Please confirm your attendance via\u00a0this link<\/a>. Please note that up to three members may attend per club, but only one delegate per club is eligible to vote.<\/p>\n

Elections for Tennis West Board<\/strong>
\nSeven (7) Nominations were received for the two (2) Tennis West Director Positions for election at the AGM.
\nInformation regarding the nominees is included in this email along with recommendations from the Tennis West Board regarding the nominees.

Voting<\/strong>
\nUnder the new constitution, voted in at the Special General Meeting on 27 July 2021, online voting will be conducted for voting of Tennis West Board Director positions. Utilising the secure ‘GoVote’ platform, online voting will open Monday 8 November and close at 12:00pm on Tuesday 23 November, the day of the Annual General Meeting. There will be no voting taking place in person at the AGM. The announcement of successful Board Directors will occur at the AGM.<\/p>\n

Recognised Delegates – Voting<\/strong>
\nUnder the Tennis West Constitution, the\u00a0President or Secretary is the appointed delegate for your club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Detailed information regarding the voting process will be sent via email to\u00a0Club Presidents<\/strong>\u00a0next week. Please check junk\/spam inboxes on 4 November\u00a02021 and 8 November 2021\u00a0for emails from “GoVote” regarding this.
\n\u00a0<\/strong>
\nNumber of Votes<\/strong>
\nThe number of votes a club is entitled to is detailed in the constitution as one (1) vote per club, plus one (1) additional vote for every fifty (50) club members, excluding non-playing club members,\u00a0as at the 30 June falling within the 12 months preceding the meeting.<\/p>\n

This information will be loaded into the GoVote ballot manager system by Tennis West in advance of the ballot opening.<\/p>\n

Recognised Delegates – Annual General Meeting Attendance<\/strong>
\nShould you wish to send another representative\u00a0from your club\u00a0<\/strong>to the AGM to act as the club delegate, please also have them use the above RSVP link. An\u00a0Alternate Delegate Form<\/strong>\u00a0MUST be filled out and provided to Tennis West\u00a0in advance<\/strong>.\u00a0This form needs to be signed by the President or Secretary and\u00a0the alternate delegate MUST be a current member of the Club’s Committee<\/u>.<\/p>\n
