{"id":16065,"date":"2020-12-22T12:12:38","date_gmt":"2020-12-22T04:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/?p=16065"},"modified":"2021-03-08T11:41:04","modified_gmt":"2021-03-08T03:41:04","slug":"best-of-the-west-claim-utr-junior-state-performance-championship-titles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/news\/2020\/12\/22\/best-of-the-west-claim-utr-junior-state-performance-championship-titles","title":{"rendered":"Best of the West claim UTR Junior State Performance Championship titles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UTR Junior State Performance Championships have concluded after 10 days of action, which saw more than 100 of the state\u2019s top players hit the courts of the State Tennis Centre (Burswood).<\/p>\n<p>Held in lieu of the prestigious Australian Championships contested at Melbourne Park each year, the states aspiring 12\/u, 14\/u, 16\/u and 18\/u players competed in both singles and doubles events from Monday 7 to Wednesday 16 December.<\/p>\n<p>Noting WA\u2019s dominance at the 2019 Australian Championships which saw WA\u2019s junior players claim eight of the possible sixteen titles, National Development Squad Coach, Tom George says that WA is fortunate to have such breadth of talent within the junior ranks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe success at last year\u2019s Australian Championships was unbelievable.
