Hosted by the North Beach Tennis Club<\/strong>, the 2019 North Beach Junior Classic has been named as the Most Outstanding Australian Ranking<\/strong> (AR) Tournament<\/strong> at the 2019 WA Tennis Industry Awards Night held at Optus Stadium in October.<\/p>\n

The award, which recognises tournaments which offer a complete package of on-and-off-court activities, and player amenities, so as to allow for a positive tournament atmosphere, was received on behalf of North Beach TC by Club Coach, Philipp Lamprecht.<\/p>\n

Attracting more than 230 entries across singles and doubles events for players ranging from 10s to 16\/U, the North Beach Junior Classic was held on the 13-16 April 2019, and was one of the club\u2019s most successful tournaments to date.<\/p>\n

Engaging a professional tournament director ensured that the clubs head coach and committee members were available to support players and parents throughout the event.<\/p>\n

Adding to the professionalism of the event, the club committed to a dedicated tournament planning office, manicured grass courts, provisions for extra spectator seating, children\u2019s activities, Easter egg hunts, and canteen and bar facilities, to ensure a well-received event by all players, spectators, committee members and officials involved.<\/p>\n

Lamprecht says the award is a wonderful recognition of the clubs commitment and achievement in providing a first class AR tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis award is recognition for an incredible team effort. This tournament simply wouldn\u2019t have been possible without all of the volunteers at the club\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope this trophy shows the clubs and its members what is possible when you work together towards a common goal\u201d Mr Lamprecht said.<\/p>\n

More than 40 Award Nominations across 19 Award Categories were received for the 2019 WA Tennis Industry Award Night which has ran since its inception in 2002.<\/p>\n

Tennis West CEO Michael Roberts<\/strong> says the Industry Awards Night is a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the sports hard working clubs, volunteers, coaches and players, congratulating all nominees and award winners on their achievements throughout the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur awards night is always such a great reminder of the contributions and achievements made by everyone involved in tennis,\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWA continues to see growth across the sport which can only be attributed to the tireless efforts of our club volunteers and partner schools who continuously go above and beyond to ensure the delivery of our great sport,\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur coaches maintain their position as some of the best in the country with athletes under their direction proving consistent and outstanding results across all levels,\u201d
\n\u201cThe rewards of everyone\u2019s efforts are then realised through increased club activity, top performing juniors and WA players who continue to do us proud on the WTA and ATP,\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cNone of this is possible without the contribution of everyone involved and our awards night helps to remind us of that,\u201d Roberts said.<\/p>\n

All winners of the WA Tennis Industry Awards Night were nominated for their respective categories at the Newcombe Medal Australian Tennis Awards to be held at Crown Melbourne on Monday 2 December.<\/p>\n
