The top 15 female players across the 2005 age group across Australia were selected for the camp, with Western Australia\u2019s <strong>Taylah Preston, Jessie Culley<\/strong> and<strong> Lily Fairclough<\/strong> among those selected, which was a tremendous honour.<\/p>\n<p>The camp was run by Tennis Australia\u2019s National Women\u2019s Tennis Manager <strong>Rohan Fisher<\/strong> and fellow TA staff member <strong>Emma Shoemaker.<\/strong> National Academy Manager <strong>Tom George<\/strong> attended the camp with the girls and provided coach support for the week. The girls played two high level AMT\u2019s in South Australia during the camp and gained valuable matchplay experience in the South Australian heat. Temperatures soared to 40 degrees during the camp!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The camp was specifically designed around the education of hydration and recovery practices while competing. The girls attended nutrition sessions, participated in well-being activities, spent time at the Port Adelaide Football Club and were lucky enough to attend the World Tennis Challenge at Memorial Drive watching global superstars Victoria Azarenka and Fernando Verdasco. Players had doubles training with WA\u2019s own Fed Cup star <strong>Storm Sanders<\/strong> and other great on court sessions with some of the countries best coaches. The camp was a great learning experience for the girls which they enjoyed immensely.
