18 of WA’s brightest stars were invited to take part in the ‘A Day in the Life of a Touring Pro’ camp held at the State Tennis Centre on Friday, 23 February 2018.<\/p>\n

Under the guidance of Talent Manager, Damien Ward<\/strong>, the girls were given the opportunity to work with some of the best coaches who provided direction and feedback tailored to the individuals.<\/p>\n

The girls who were 10, 11 and 12 years of age trained for three hours in the morning,\u00a0running through drills that covered everything from volleys, hitting down the line, transitioning to the net and serving, as well as physical conditioning with National Academy Physical Performance Coach, Len Cannell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After a morning on court, the girls became the spectators, taking the opportunity to watch part of the Perth Tennis International #2<\/strong> singles and doubles matches.<\/p>\n

Former Top 20 Doubles player Louise Pleming<\/strong>\u00a0addressed the girls and spoke about the importance of perseverance and hard work, encouraging them to train with all of their effort consistently on court.<\/p>\n

Returning to court, the girls took part in singles and doubles match play, allowing them to implement the skills and tactics they worked on in the morning.<\/p>\n

The girls wrapped up the day by taking photos with the winners and runners up of the Perth Tennis International #2 Doubles Championship, which included WA’s own Jessica Moore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
