National Academy Head Coach Andrew Roberts joined the tour in Canberra.<\/p>\n<p>The Canberra ITF was played on clay and was the ideal preparation for the Claycourt Nationals the following week. The ITF\u2019s are great exposure to International competition and high quality matchplay against the world\u2019s best 18\/U players. The ITF Junior Circuit is the premier level for worldwide competition among under-18\u00a0junior tennis players. The ITF Junior Circuit\u2019s aim is to improve competitive opportunities and help develop players\u2019 skills. ITF Junior World Ranking points earned by Australian\u2019s are converted each month and calculated for the players Australian Ranking.<\/p>\n<p>NSW Junior International &#8211; <strong>Will Hann<\/strong> was a boy\u2019s doubles finalist<\/p>\n<p>Canberra Junior International \u2013 <strong>Will Hann<\/strong> singles Quarter Finals, <strong>Skye Royall<\/strong> qualified and reached the round of 16 of the girls singles<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>12\/U &amp; 14\/U CLAYCOURT NATIONALS CANBERRA<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Andrew Roberts and Damien Ward provided coaching support and duty of care for the 17 WA athletes who competed in the 12\/U &amp; 14\/U Australian Claycourt Nationals in Canberra alongside some of WA\u2019s top private tennis coaches. Players completed preparation on the claycourts at Dalkeith for the Nationals which took place September 29 \u2013 October 4. The Nationals proved a great success with WA players represented in 3 out of the 4 singles finals and two National winners. Well done to everyone involved in the great results in Canberra including the players, parents, coaches and TW staff.<\/p>\n<p>12\/U Boys Singles Winner &#8211;<strong> Zach Viiala<\/strong> (Zach was also a doubles finalist)<\/p>\n<p>12\/U Girls Singles Winner &#8211; <strong>Jessie Culley<\/strong> (Jessie was also a doubles finalist)<\/p>\n<p>14\/U Boys Singles Finalist \u2013 <strong>Derek Pham<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Other Notable Results: # denotes final placing<\/p>\n<p>12\/U Girls. <strong>Abbi Gibson<\/strong> #6, <strong>Taylah Preston<\/strong> #9, <strong>Lily Faircloug<\/strong>h #10<\/p>\n<p>14\/U Girls. <strong>Lauren Nikolosk<\/strong>i #9, <strong>Skye Royall<\/strong> #10<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>BRUCE CUP\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Shepparton, Victoria<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Western Australian Bruce Cup has just returned from\u00a0Shepparton, Victoria where the team finished third which was a great achievement\u00a0given the extremely high standard. <strong>Zach Viiala<\/strong> was a singles finalist in the individual boys event and <strong>Lily Fairclough<\/strong> was a singles semi finalist in the girls\u00a0individual event. The Bruce Cup is the National Primary Schools Competition for 12\/U\u2019s. Congratulations to the following team members that represented WA in Shepparton. The boys team: <strong>Zachary Viiala, Zachary Melanie, Cian Ingles, Kevin Herbert, Jay Fairclough, Wayne McNicol<\/strong> and<strong> Mauhan Dass<\/strong>. The girls team: <strong>Jessie Culley, Lily Fairclough, Rhea Makesar, Layla Firns, Talia Edgar, Yelena Kelleher<\/strong> and<strong> Claudia Velkovska<\/strong>. \u00a0A special thank you to the team managers Andrea Rundle and the team coaches Brad Ladyman and Alison Kirk for managing the team.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>SUPER 10\u2019S\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Super 10s Challenge Day\u00a0was conducted this month with over 80 children attending. The four boys teams and four girls teams were selected after the Challenge Day with the final\u00a0competition now under way. The season will include 3 round robin matches and one finals match on the 11th of November.\u00a0The first weekend of the Super 10 Competition in WA at the State Tennis Centre has been completed. The Super 10s is an exciting competition for boys and girls who are born between 2006 to 2009. The competition forms part of the National 10\/U ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Program. Talent Manager, Damien Ward runs the WA competition and was thrilled by the level of play from the boys and girls to start the competition. \u00a0The boys teams are managed by Tate Roberts, John Thorpe, Mitch Pleydell and Warren Vickers.
