This caps off a stellar two years for Peers, who was twice a grand slam doubles runner-up in 2015 with former British partner <strong>Jamie Murray<\/strong>, before teaming up with <strong>Henri Kontinen<\/strong> at the start of the 2016 season.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kontinen and Peers had a standout 2016 season, winning five titles, including the prestigious season-ending ATP Tour Finals. This all culminated in a Grand Slam title at the 2017 Australian Open where the pair defeated six-time legendary doubles champions, Bob and Mike Bryan 7-5 7-5.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe last few months have been a bit of a whirlwind with the title in London, winning the Australian Open and then straight in to Davis Cup,\u201d Peers said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerth is home for me now and I don\u2019t get back nearly as often as I would like.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe State League competition in WA is one of the best in Australia and Mosman Park have a great team that I enjoy playing with. I played with the guys in December and spend quite a bit of time training there when I\u2019m home.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to getting out with them on Friday night and hopefully putting on a bit of a show to a big crowd.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tennis West CEO, <strong>Michael Roberts<\/strong> is pleased to have Peers back in Perth representing his club in the nation\u2019s best Tennis League competition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJohn has had such amazing success over the last two years, and his Grand Slam win over the Bryan brothers was phenomenal.
