Over 145 people attended this very special event, which aims to raise funds for the promising junior female tennis players in WA.<\/p>\n<p>Judy Murray was a hit with the crowd &#8211; funny, charming, and down to earth, with many fascinating and hilarious stories that kept guests enthralled all morning.<\/p>\n<p>Among those in attendance was Tennis West CEO and Hopman Cup General Manager,\u00a0<strong>Geoff Quinlan<\/strong>, Hopman Cup Tournament Director <strong>Paul Kilderry<\/strong>, Women in Tennis President <strong>Trish Ross<\/strong>, Tennis\u00a0West President, <strong>Wayne Firns<\/strong>, and Tennis Legend of the game, <strong>Margaret Court.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Channel 9\u2019s <strong>Peter Vlaho<\/strong>s did a fantastic job as Master of Ceremonies, extracting some very interesting and funny stories from Judy, who spoke about her playing and coaching background, her role as Fed Cup Coach of the British team, what it is like to be the mum of Andy and Jamie Murray, as well as her appearance on the British version of &#8220;Dancing with the Stars&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p>After the audience heard from the Special Guests and tucked into their superbly presented breakfast, there was a live auction of Sam Stosur\u2019s signed Wimbledon Dress, and a signed Fed Cup shirt donated by Alicia Molik, along with a much-anticipated raffle draw. The winners of the raffle were as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1st Prize: Stunning bracelet &#8211; 18 ct. white gold set, with diamonds and sapphires, valued at $1985 and kindly donated by Brinkaus Jewellers &#8211; won by Prue Frame<\/li>\n<li>2nd Prize:\u00a0Neoprene necklace pearl pendant, valued at $930\u00a0and kindly donated by Brinkaus Jewellers &#8211; won by Robert\u00a0Doney.<\/li>\n<li>3rd Prize: 3 Stirling Silver bracelets,\u00a0valued at $300\u00a0and kindly donated by Brinkaus Jewellers &#8211; won by\u00a0Rea Doney.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All proceeds from the sale of the raffle and the auction went directly to the Women in Tennis Fundraising Committee, to assist with the development of junior female tennis players in this state.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Breakfast package guests were given tickets to the Australia Gold v Ukraine Hopman Cup match, which immediately followed the breakfast, featuring crowd favourite,\u00a0<strong>Lleyton Hewitt<\/strong>, with his partner <strong>Jarmila Wolfe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s breakfast was a huge success, largely due to the hard work of the Women in Tennis Committee, and their very generous sponsors.
