The team competed under the guidance of <strong>David Moore, National Academy Coach NSW<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chinese Taipei<\/strong>, <strong>China <\/strong>and <strong>Korea<\/strong> have also qualified for the finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today the <strong>World Junior Tennis<\/strong> girls\u2019 Asia\/Oceania qualifying event gets underway in Bangkok with <strong>Olivia Gadecki <\/strong>(Hollywell, Qld), <strong>Amber Marshall <\/strong>(Gulfview Heights, SA) and <strong>Isabella Ryles <\/strong>(Adelaide, SA) representing Australia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam Carey<\/strong>, <strong>National Academy Coach Queensland<\/strong> is captaining the side and is happy with the way the team have trained over the past week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe girls used the week of training in Melbourne to get to know one another and to work on getting used to the change from clay back onto hardcourt,\u201d Carey said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll three girls are really excited about the opportunity to represent Australia and can\u2019t wait to test themselves against the best Asian tennis nations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a great chance for the team to support each other and enjoy the experience of travelling to an international event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This week the girls\u2019 are the third seeds for the competition and have drawn <strong>Uzbekistan<\/strong>, <strong>Hong Kong<\/strong> and No.8 seeds <strong>Thailand<\/strong> in their pool. They will play <strong>Hong Kong<\/strong> in their first round-robin match and will need to advance to the semi finals in order to join the boys\u2019 in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ITF <strong>World Junior Tennis<\/strong> event is an international team competition for players aged 14 and under.
