Australia\u2019s Fed Cup captain Alicia Molik<\/strong> has named the experienced line-up of Samantha Stosur, Casey Dellacqua, Jarmila Gajdosova <\/strong>and Olivia Rogowska<\/strong> to contest the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Play-offs in \u2018s-Hertongenbosch, Netherlands, on 18-19 April.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The team is unchanged from the World Group first round tie in February, when Australia lost a tight tie to a powerhouse German team.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very happy to again have Sam, Casey, Jarka <\/strong>and Olivia<\/strong> coming together to play the Netherlands,\u201d Fed Cup captain Alicia Molik<\/strong> said today.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThey are a tremendous group, work together really well as a team, and we have an excellent chance of winning this tie and maintaining our position in the elite Fed Cup World Group.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nicole Pratt<\/strong>, Tennis Australia\u2019s Head of Women\u2019s tennis, will also join the team in the role of Fed Cup Coach for the first time.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sixteen-year-old Queenslander Kimberley Birrell<\/strong> will join the team in the traditional \u2018orange girl\u2019 role. Birrell has enjoyed an outstanding few months on the Pro-Tour, reaching the final in Mildura last month.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be fantastic to have Pratty in the role of Fed Cup Coach,\u201d Molik said. \u201cWe all know how passionate she is about women\u2019s tennis and she\u2019ll bring an enormous amount of skill and experience to the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I\u2019m very happy Kim is joining us for the tie. She\u2019s had a terrific few months on the Pro Tour and this is an invaluable opportunity for her to work with our top players, both on court as a hitting partner and to see first-hand how professional their preparation is in training and for matches,\u201d Molik continued.<\/p>\n

Australia and the Netherlands have met 9 times in Fed Cup, with Australia holding an 8-1 advantage.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The most recent meeting was the World Group Qualifying round in 2002 in Wollongong, with Australia winning 3-2 in a deciding doubles rubber. Alicia Molik won three rubbers in that tie.<\/p>\n

The Netherlands team is yet to be named but is expected to include world No.86 Kiki Bertens, <\/strong>[126] Richel Hogenkamp, <\/strong>[230] Arantxa Rus and <\/strong>[372] Michaela Krajicek. <\/strong><\/p>\n
