{"id":12152,"date":"2017-07-11T15:36:19","date_gmt":"2017-07-11T07:36:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/?page_id=12152"},"modified":"2018-01-12T16:43:11","modified_gmt":"2018-01-12T08:43:11","slug":"2017-wa-tennis-industry-awards-night","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/news-and-events\/events\/wa-tennis-industry-awards-night-2\/2017-wa-tennis-industry-awards-night","title":{"rendered":"2017 WA Tennis Industry Awards Night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>WA Tennis Industry Awards 2017<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Alexander Park Tennis Club<\/strong> has claimed victory in two of the prestigious award categories at the 2017 WA Tennis Industry Awards Night.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The club was named <strong>Most Outstanding Large Club<\/strong> for the third time in six years, and also received the gong for the Most Outstanding Australian Ranking (AR) Tournament for the 2017 Summer Silver Tournament hosted by the club in January.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Park TC was one of three finalists for the Most Outstanding Large Club, and was a standout performer in their class, owing largely to the club\u2019s inviting culture, accessibility to the community, and implementation of Tennis Australia programs and competitive opportunities for players.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, the Most Outstanding Club Award was split into 2 categories \u2013 Large Club and Small Club (12 or less courts), with <strong>Bullcreek Tennis Club<\/strong> and <strong>Margaret River Tennis Club<\/strong> sharing the accolade in the Small Club Category.<\/p>\n<p>This year a new category of award was introduced \u2013 the <strong>Local Government Award<\/strong>, aimed at recognising the Local Government Authorities who are engaged with, and supportive of tennis in their community.
