{"id":8096,"date":"2012-09-18T14:40:02","date_gmt":"2012-09-18T04:40:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/?p=8096"},"modified":"2012-09-18T14:40:02","modified_gmt":"2012-09-18T04:40:02","slug":"2012-pennant-player-of-the-year-awards-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news\/2012\/09\/18\/2012-pennant-player-of-the-year-awards-announced","title":{"rendered":"2012 Pennant Player of the Year awards announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After another outstanding Pennant season, Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 Pennant Player of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Over 4000 players competed in the competition across all grades in 2012, and in many cases the winners competed against over 200 players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis award is a great way to recognise the outstanding season of a number of individual players,\u201d said Tennis Victoria\u2019s Competition Manager Jeff Downes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross all grades of Pennant, there have been a number of outstanding individuals who have played consistently well all season and this is a great reward for these players.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Andrew McLean from Royal South Yarra claimed the Men\u2019s grade one Pennant Player of the Year award, while his teammate Conrad Lim was second.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, Masa Jovanovic, also from Royal South Yarra, won the Women\u2019s grade one Pennant Player of the Year, while youngster Destanee Aiava, from Kooyong Lawn, was second.<\/p>\n<p>You can view all of the winners <a title=\"2012 Pennant Player of the Year\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/doc\/2012-pennant-player-of-the-year\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After another outstanding Pennant season, Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 Pennant Player of the Year.
