On the way to the final, the 24-year-old defeated the likes of Lukas Koncilia (AUT), Aaron Leeder-Chard (Mt Eliza, Vic), Matthew Barton (Collaroy, NSW) and No.7 seed Jose Statham (NZL), in a tough three set semi final on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>After the match Groth said he felt good on court this week and is happy to be back playing tennis again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis week I\u2019ve played some of my best tennis. In the past I\u2019ve had some really good weeks on clay and it\u2019s something I\u2019m certainly enjoying more and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI probably started serving ok but was a little lethargic in the first, I was down a break in the second and sort of feeling it a little bit,\u00a0 but after I got the break back to get it to two all, it psyched me up, and from there I went on a real roll.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJason has obviously had a great start to the year already; he\u2019s won a few events on clay.
