Tennis Victoria\u2019s Junior Pennant competition is officially over for another year. Congratulations to those teams who participated in finals matches\u00a0on Sunday\u00a0and we hope to see you all again next year! Results from the finals can be found below.<\/p>\n
The second of\u00a0two platinum Australian Money Tournaments was held at Melbourne Park over the past week, with a strong field gathering from across the country to participate. This was evident from the results as players from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland all took home various titles. Victorian players Sam Groth and Michaela Capannolo took out the men\u2019s and women\u2019s\u00a0singles\u00a0titles respectively, whilst the doubles events were dominated byplayers from north of the border.<\/p>\n
All of the players now look forward to a busy summer of tennis as the December Showdown kicks into gear at Melbourne Park.<\/p>\n
The second last tournament of the year for the 2011 Pro Tour concluded yesterday in Traralgon. Unfortunately no Victorians featured in the final of either event, after Olivia Rogowska\u2019s 5-7 2-6 loss to New Zealand\u2019s Sacha Jones in their semifinal.<\/p>\n
All players now move onto Bendigo for the WM Loud Bendigo International, the final leg of the 2011 Pro Tour, due to finish this coming Sunday, with the main draw commencing Tuesday.<\/p>\n
