Prior to this, he served for nearly a decade as <strong>General Manager of Huntingdale Golf Club<\/strong>, including overseeing multiple <strong>Australian Masters Golf Tournaments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A qualified accountant and <strong>Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD)<\/strong>, Stewart brings more than <strong>25 years of CEO and General Manager experience<\/strong> across golf and tennis. His long-standing commitment to sport governance and support of clubs is reflected in extensive board and committee service, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tennis Victoria Audit &amp; Risk Committee<\/li>\n<li>Tennis Victoria Nominations Committee<\/li>\n<li>President (Chair) \u2013 Australian Golf Managers Association<\/li>\n<li>Club representative \u2013 Australian Golf Industry Council<\/li>\n<li>Golf Australia Club Support Committee<\/li>\n<li>Golf Australia Women in Golf Sub-Committee<\/li>\n<li>Hockey Australia Indoor Advisory Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Stewart is also an accomplished athlete, having played and coached hockey at both state and Australian levels, and continues to compete at Masters level. A life-long tennis player, he is a member of <strong>Blackrock Tennis Club<\/strong> and <strong>Kooyong<\/strong>, and recently competed in <strong>Country Week<\/strong>, a standout highlight of his tennis journey.<\/p>\n<p>Through his professional work, Stewart has supported many metropolitan and regional tennis clubs undertaking Council rate reviews and providing advice on governance, strategic planning, court surfaces, coaching models, grass court maintenance and day-to-day operations. His experience includes leading large-scale industry electricity tenders that delivered cost reductions of up to <strong>20\u201330%<\/strong> for participating clubs, particularly benefiting regional organisations.<\/p>\n<p>On the Board, Stewart will work closely with the current directors and Tennis Victoria executive team to further enhance club support programs and resources. She speaks strongly about tennis as a truly inclusive, global sport, one that provided a welcoming environment for her neurodiverse son after he experienced challenges fitting into another sport. Beginning as a singles player before moving into doubles, tennis helped him build confidence and social connection, highlighting the unique way the sport blends individual and team participation.<\/p>\n<p>Following the retirement of a long-standing club president, Roma stepped into committee leadership, allowing her to work closely with families from culturally diverse backgrounds and witness firsthand how tennis fosters community, camaraderie and resilience. Located in Melbourne\u2019s outer north-west within the <strong>Melton City Council growth corridor<\/strong>, Caroline Springs Tennis Club continues to benefit from strong investment in tennis infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Professionally, Roma is <strong>Director, Business Service &amp; Enablement at WorkSafe Victoria<\/strong>, where she leads teams across systems, service delivery, projects and portfolio management, vendor and provider management, business planning and risk.<\/p>\n<p>She brings significant governance and operational oversight experience to the Audit &amp; Risk Committee and looks forward to collaborating with fellow committee members and Tennis Victoria leadership.
