The 2025 Mildura International<\/strong> came to an exciting close on Sunday March 16, showcasing world-class tennis talent in one of Australia\u2019s premier Pro Tour<\/strong> events.\u00a0The Pro Tour is a series of professional tennis events held throughout the year to bridge upcoming players with the ATP\/WTA Tour, providing an opportunity to earn significant world ranking points.<\/p>\n

After a tough week competing in temperatures of 39\u00b0C plus, cooler conditions for finals saw some exciting match ups. In the Women’s Singles, top seed Australian Lizette Cabrera<\/strong> delivered a dominant performance, securing the title with a 6-0, 7-5 victory over eighth seed from Japan, Chihiro Muramatsu<\/strong>. Cabrera\u2019s powerful start saw her claim the first set without dropping a game, before facing a strong challenge from Muramatsu in the second set. However, the Australian held her nerve to close out the match in straight sets and lift the trophy.<\/p>\n

The Men’s Singles Final saw an all-Australian match up. Omar\u00a0Jasika<\/strong>, also the tournament\u2019s top seed, showcased his skill and composure to overcome rising star Pavle Marinkov<\/strong> 6-3, 6-4. Jasika\u2019s strong baseline play and experience proved to be key as he secured his latest Pro Tour title without dropping a set in the final.<\/p>\n

In the Women’s Doubles Final, Lizette Cabrera<\/strong> & Gabriella Da Silva-Fick<\/strong> defeated Alicia Smith<\/strong> & Belle Thompson<\/strong> 2-6 6-3 [12-10]. In the Men’s Doubles Matt Hume<\/strong> & James Watt<\/strong> defared Joshua Charlton<\/strong>\u00a0& Ajeet Rai<\/strong> 6-7(7) 7-6(1) [13-11].<\/p>\n

Overall, the tournament was a huge success. The Mildura Lawn Tennis Club<\/strong> provided the perfect backdrop for an incredible event, showcasing world-class talent!<\/p>\n
