{"id":39462,"date":"2024-10-17T11:00:40","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T00:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/?p=39462"},"modified":"2024-10-17T11:02:20","modified_gmt":"2024-10-17T00:02:20","slug":"tennis-victoria-launches-bold-new-strategy-to-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news\/2024\/10\/17\/tennis-victoria-launches-bold-new-strategy-to-2027","title":{"rendered":"Tennis Victoria Launches Bold New Strategy to 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tennis Victoria has unveiled an ambitious new strategic plan designed to strengthen the future of tennis in Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>The Tennis Victoria Strategy through to 2027 sets a bold vision for the growth and inclusivity of tennis across the state, ensuring the sport remains a cornerstone of healthy and thriving communities.<\/p>\n<p>The strategy focuses on four key pillars that will guide Tennis Victoria over the next three years:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Places<\/strong><br \/>\nOptimising the use of and access to facilities, thereby creating a sustainable future for delivering tennis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Play<\/strong><br \/>\nEnhance the player experience by implementing standards that increase participation and support the player journey.<\/li>\n<li><strong>People<\/strong><br \/>\nEmpower the tennis community with the tools to foster supportive environments while increasing capacity and capability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Profile<\/strong><br \/>\nRaise the profile of Tennis in Victoria through strategic storytelling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Tennis Victoria CEO Kim Kachel expressed excitement about the launch of the new strategy, &#8220;The new strategy is not about wholesale change and rather is an evolution, not a revolution. \u00a0The 2024 plan required a refresher to ensure it remains fit for purpose and meets the needs of the changing landscape of tennis in Victoria. \u00a0Extensive consultation has occurred which includes 270 views and engagement via online sessions and 47 pieces of formal feedback from affiliates and stakeholders.\u00a0 Key themes from this consultation plus responses from our annual survey of stakeholders has been taken into consideration.\u00a0\u00a0 Further, it is underpinned and supported by key strategies across Victorian Government (Active Victoria) and Tennis Australia as well as led by insights via Kinetica, AusPlay data and HIT tool analysis.\u00a0 The 2027 plan builds upon the great successes and platforms of the previous strategy and work of the Victorian tennis community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The strategy sets ambitious targets, including improving player experiences, sustainable tennis facilities across the state and elevated storytelling and advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>It also highlights Tennis Victoria&#8217;s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring everyone feels welcome in the tennis community.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Victoria President Jacqui Pirone added &#8220;Tennis in Victoria is only getting better, and together, we\u2019re making sure it\u2019s always a sport that brings joy, connection, and energy to everyone who picks up a racquet.
