Congratulations to the October Affiliate of the Month, Bairnsdale Tennis Club!<\/p>\n
The hub of East Gippsland, the Bairnsdale Tennis Club pride themselves on their events and engaging the community.\u00a0\u00a0They have delivered initiatives including Glow in the Dark tennis \u2013 a fun evening of tennis in the dark lit up by glowing equipment accompanied by burgers, drinks and music.\u00a0\u00a0They hosted their annual Biggest Morning Tea where the Midweek Ladies players provided a huge spread for all to enjoy, including a raffle, mini auction and \u2018Best Slice Competition\u2019 \u2013 not the on court one. In doing so they raised $524 for charity.\u00a0\u00a0The club has an inter-club catch up with their neighbour Lakes Entrance and the Dahlsen\u2019s Challenge against Sale Tennis Club. These events give players some varied competition and keep them in touch with the surrounding clubs.\u00a0\u00a0During Wimbledon the club runs a sweep, with a free BBQ on the night of the draw. This connects their participants to the players on the international stage and raises the interest of tennis during the winter period.\u00a0\u00a0The Bairnsdale Tennis Club is also known for its Labour Day Tournament. They hosted the 76th edition in 2024 \u2013 well attended by players and well supported by sponsors and the community it\u2019s a great event to be a part of and an honour board you want to get your name on.<\/p>\n
