Every participant can also win daily prizes and save money on their household bills along the way.<\/p>\n<h6>How it works<\/h6>\n<p>The GreenHouse Games is an easy online challenge. Your club simply registers to participate, selects and nominates a Hero Coordinator and starts recruiting households from your supporters to become GreenHouse Hero.<\/p>\n<p>Households interested in participating sign up online and pledge to take energy, water and waste saving actions for your club. During the\u00a0eight week challenge, your households complete the actions and report online.<\/p>\n<p>Every sustainable action taken earns points and converts to fundraising dollars for your club \u2013 up to $4000.<\/p>\n<h6>The game plan is simple<\/h6>\n<p>The club that gets the greatest household points average also wins the GreenHouse Games trophy!<\/p>\n<p>Plus, there are great prizes for households to be won along the way. Households can win daily drawn spot prizes such as $100 Bunnings vouchers and weekly themed prizes just for reporting their actions.<\/p>\n<h6>Your pathway to success<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenhousegames.vic.gov.au\" target=\"_blank\">greenhousegames.vic.gov.au<\/a> to register<\/li>\n<li>Nominate a Hero Cooordinator for your club<\/li>\n<li>Promote the Games and encourage as many households to sign up and participate. This can include extended family, friends and community supporters<\/li>\n<li>When the Games begin, GreenHouse Hereos pledge their support and report their sustainable actions each week, online.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>When are the Games?<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>GreenHouse Games: 25 July \u2013 18 September 2011<\/li>\n<li>Club registration starts 16 May 2011<\/li>\n<li>Households sign up from 6 June 2011<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Hero Coordinators<\/h6>\n<p>The Hero Coordinator&#8217;s role is to encourage participation and motivate your club to complete the challenge. To support their role, they\u2019ll be given training, tools and promotional materials.<\/p>\n<p>Hero Coordinators will also be rewarded by giveaways and prizes for services to their club. For instance, Coordinators in clubs that achieve a 75% or greater household participation rate across the Challenge have the chance to win a $1000 bike prize (Terms\u00a0and Conditions apply).<\/p>\n<p>Play big and help the planet.
