Daria Saville had an intense battle on John Cain Arena against Magdalena Frech, going down 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 in a three setter.\u00a0Daria will be competing in the Women’s Doubles tomorrow with Alja Tomljanovic.<\/p>\n
After qualifying for the first time since 2017, Omar Jasika was defeated in a tough match against Hubert Hurkacz, the ninth seed. It was a huge moment for Jasika to qualify for the AO and regardless of the loss, a great start to 2024.<\/p>\n
Marc Polmans had a tough first round match in the Men’s Singles against friend and fellow Aussie Alexei Popyrin. He went down in three sets, 6-3, 7-6 and 6-2.\u00a0Polmans will pair up with James Duckworth in the Men’s Doubles tomorrow.<\/p>\n
