Congratulations to the many Victorians who excelled at the Australian Wheelchair Tennis National Championships on the weekend!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2023 Australian Wheelchair Tennis National Championships were held at Melbourne Park from 10-12 November.<\/p>\n

Heath Davidson<\/strong>\u00a0headlined the 6 Victorian winners with another Quad Singles National Championships title, while\u00a0Anthony Bonaccurso<\/strong>\u00a0(35+ Mixed Singles) and\u00a0Martyn Dunn\u00a0<\/strong>(Quad Men\u2019s Doubles) also took out their respective titles.<\/p>\n

Tournament Director Daniel O\u2019Neill was impressed with the fierce competition across the junior events.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a terrific group of junior players coming through the high-performance programs, so it\u2019s great to see their continued development,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYassin Hill<\/strong>,\u00a0a 16-year-old from Victoria, won the junior singles event for the first time and\u00a0Jin Woodman<\/strong>, a 14-year-old also from Victoria, showcased his potential with runner-up results in both the junior singles and quad events.\u00a0Sonny Rennison<\/strong>\u00a0(aged 11) and\u00a0Arlo Shawcross<\/strong>\u00a0(aged 12) were others to perform extremely well over the weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Congratulations also to\u00a0Gillie Lumby<\/strong>\u00a0on a fantastic win in the Open Junior Doubles.<\/p>\n
