Australia won the last tournament when it was held in Brisbane in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Teams from more than 50 countries will compete in the <a href=\"https:\/\/gg2023.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2023 Virtus Global Games<\/a>. across sports such as tennis, athletics, basketball, cycling, equestrian, futsal, handball, judo, karate, rowing, swimming, table tennis and taekwondo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The French city of Vichy hosts the 2023 event from 4-10 June.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-standard-landscape wp-image-31040\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/files\/2023\/05\/00f5f370-4948-448e-a29e-94cf31ed7fdd-700x450.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/files\/2023\/05\/00f5f370-4948-448e-a29e-94cf31ed7fdd-700x450.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/files\/2023\/05\/00f5f370-4948-448e-a29e-94cf31ed7fdd-360x230.jpeg 360w, https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/files\/2023\/05\/00f5f370-4948-448e-a29e-94cf31ed7fdd-200x128.jpeg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year\u2019s team is a big team, and we are really proud of that,\u201d said Head Coach Alison Scott.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been world champions since 2015, so we are very confident going overseas. The team is very well prepared and well trained, which is brilliant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the first year players in the II-3 category, which is players on the autism spectrum, have been able to compete in the games, and we are excited to take two players from this category overseas to compete.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been really looking forward to this moment, because we feel Australia is ahead of the game in the II-3 category.
