After a 15 year hiatus, the pinnacle competition is back and welcomes some of the best of Victorian tennis players to the courts.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the following clubs who have been successful in joining the State Grade competition in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>In the Women\u2019s competition, there will be six teams competing which are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Diggers Rest Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Grace Park Hawthorn Club<\/li>\n<li>Harkaway Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the Men\u2019s competition, there are eight teams competing which are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eildon Park Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Fawkner Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Grace Park Hawthorn Club<\/li>\n<li>Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>MCC Glen Iris Valley Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>North Ringwood Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club<\/li>\n<li>Tennis World<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cAll of us at Tennis Victoria are thrilled to welcome State Grade back, in our 140<sup>th<\/sup> year of Pennant in 2023\u201d, Sean Spralja, Competitions Coordinator at Tennis Victoria stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a real sense of anticipation and excitement about the season ahead with many familiar names joining teams across the competition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Victoria Pennant starts from Saturday 22 April. All fixtures are available on <a href=\"https:\/\/matchcentre.tennis.com.au\/\">Match Centre.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Women\u2019s State Grade competition will begin on Saturday 22 April. The Men\u2019s State Grade Competition will begin on Saturday 6 May.<\/p>\n<p>Diggers Rest Tennis Club will be lead by world No.255 Destanee Aiava while Belinda Woolcock will be hard to beat representing Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club in the Women&#8217;s Competition.<\/p>\n<p>MCC Glen Iris Valley stalwart Aaron Addison returns from a successful Tennis Victoria Premier League competition in 2022 to again lead the team.
