{"id":29664,"date":"2023-02-09T11:50:35","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T00:50:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/?p=29664"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:50:35","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T00:50:35","slug":"future-leaders-success-through-female-inclusion-in-sport-grants-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news\/2023\/02\/09\/future-leaders-success-through-female-inclusion-in-sport-grants-program","title":{"rendered":"Future Leaders success through Female Inclusion in Sport Grants Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2022, two Victorian tennis Clubs, Lalor Tennis Club and Thomastown Tennis Club, applied for and received the City of Whittlesea&#8217;s Female Inclusion in Sport Grants Program.<\/p>\n<p>The Grant Program is for up to $3000 per club to increase female participation in tennis through involvement in the club in various ways.<\/p>\n<p>Both Lalor Tennis Club and Thomastown Tennis Club were successful in these grants, which allowed them to put two of their junior female players through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/players\/programs\/future-leaders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Future Leaders Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They provided coaching courses for the students to run their own junior girls programs that the Future Leaders students helped organise and run.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the following videos, highlighting our Future Leaders pairs from 2021\/22 with Adele and Naomi from Thomastown TC and Katerina and Tara from Lalor TC.<\/p>\n<p>It is great to see City of Whittlesea support local sporting clubs, such as our tennis clubs, to provide opportunities for young women and girls to make a difference at their club.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2022, two Victorian tennis Clubs, Lalor Tennis Club and Thomastown Tennis Club, applied for and received the City of Whittlesea&#8217;s Female Inclusion in Sport Grants Program.
