Dear Victorian Tennis Community,\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Welcome to the October edition of the Tennis Victoria News.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of September we welcomed 26 Future Leaders participants to Melbourne to gain valuable tennis administration experience across three days, including a leadership workshop, team building and Foundation Coaching Courses. Each student is now dedicating 40 hours of volunteer time to their local club. We can\u2019t wait to see them complete their projects over the Summer and continue to increase ways of recruiting and retaining volunteers in our sport. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations to our Victorian 12\/U and 14\/U teams who competed in Adelaide last week in the National Hardcourt Championships in Adelaide. Ava Beck was runner up in the 14\/u Singles and Doubles alongside fellow Victorian Koharu Nishikawa.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Ross Patterson who won the B3 & B4 Singles titles, Peter Robinson who won the B2 Men\u2019s Singles and Open Doubles, and Phoebe David who claimed runner up in the Women\u2019s B2 Singles at the inaugural Blind & Low Vision National Championships last weekend.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Finalists were recently announced for the Victorian Tennis Awards to be held at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday 23 October.
