{"id":28663,"date":"2022-08-24T10:30:39","date_gmt":"2022-08-24T00:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/?p=28663"},"modified":"2022-08-24T13:42:11","modified_gmt":"2022-08-24T03:42:11","slug":"2022-23-volunteer-grants-expressions-of-interest-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news\/2022\/08\/24\/2022-23-volunteer-grants-expressions-of-interest-now-open","title":{"rendered":"2022-23 Volunteer Grants \u2013 Expressions of Interest now open!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Your local federal government member is now accepting Expressions of Interest for the 2022\/23 Volunteer grants.<\/p>\n<p>Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations.<\/p>\n<p>This funding can be used for purposes such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>purchasing minor equipment for volunteers.<\/li>\n<li>contributing to costs incurred by volunteers in the course of their work.<\/li>\n<li>assisting with costs of training for volunteers.<\/li>\n<li>promoting awareness of and increasing participation in volunteering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The objectives of Volunteer Grants are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>help community organisations to support the efforts of Australia\u2019s volunteers<\/li>\n<li>help community organisations to support the inclusion of vulnerable people through volunteering<\/li>\n<li>encourage, support and increase participation in volunteering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme has a two-stage process. Firstly, a completed\u00a0EOI\u00a0from the organisation is sent to its relevant Federal Member. Following a nomination panel process, a number of organisations will then be invited to make a full application to the Department of Social Services (Department) for the funding round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Check if you can apply<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can apply if you meet the eligibility criteria. Before submitting an expression of interest, all applicants\u00a0<strong>must<\/strong>\u00a0read the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/miltondick.com.au\/media\/cxqpcb2a\/1-2022-23-volunteer-grants-opportunity-guidelines.pdf?sc_lang=en&amp;hash=A05840B5BD179025154398A66E1973AE\">Grant Opportunity Guidelines<\/a>, to ensure that they are eligible for the funding and can meet all the requirements of the grant.<\/p>\n<p>Expressions of interest must be made through the office of your federal member.
