As the dust starts to settle on the news that proud Ngaragu woman and three time Grand Slam Champion Ash Barty has retired from tennis, one thing remains certain – the \u2018Ash effect\u2019 is real and most certainly far reaching.<\/p>\n

Whilst the outpouring of love and respect continues to ripple across the globe the team at Tennis Australia are excited to announce the \u2018Letters for Ash\u2019 campaign \u2013 a unique opportunity for the tennis community to get involved in the celebration of Ash, a wonderful person both on and off the court.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how your club can get involved:<\/p>\n

  1. Encourage your members to get creative in celebrating the career and retirement of Ash. Handwritten letters, poems, stories, and artwork are all welcome\u2013 the more creative the better!<\/li>\n
  2. Take photos and videos of your members completing their \u2018Letters for Ash\u2019 activities and send them to play@tennis.com.au<\/a>. Please ensure all members have the necessary photo and video consent before sharing.<\/li>\n
  3. Have your club members label their work with the following:\n
