ACHPER Victoria has been funded by the Department of Education and Training (DET), Victoria to deliver the new Active Schools Expert Support Service (ESS). They will be working to support Government Schools throughout Victoria until December 2022 to implement the Active Schools Framework.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Active Schools Framework outlines six key priority areas of an Active School, recognising there is no single solution to shifting inactivity; it takes a multifaceted and systemic effort.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tennis Victoria is excited to have programs in place that meet aspects of the six priority areas of an Active School.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Below are some of the many ways in which Tennis can help you support your students to be more physically active:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Quality Physical Education<\/span><\/b><\/a>:<\/span><\/b> Our Tennis in Schools primary and secondary programs are aligned to curriculum, supporting teachers to meet the curriculum needs. Programs are fun, inclusive, and promote confidence in students to move and be physically active.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Quality School Sport<\/span><\/b><\/a>:<\/span><\/b> Tennis Australia\u2019s Hot Shots competition formats for both Primary and Secondary school students focus on building participation by creating a fun and positive experience in a team environment. Played on smaller courts with modified equipment so it is easier for kids to play, and progress.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
