Many participants of the event have been involved for 10, 20 and even 30 years, citing the friendly and welcoming environment from the people and the communities they visit.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Victoria Country Week in 2022 will see 194 teams compete across 92 courts. Participants will be travelling from across Victoria and Australia.<\/p>\n<p>The event is held in alignment with COVIDSafe protocols from the Victorian Government.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Victoria\u2019s CEO, Adam Crameri is\u00a0thrilled to bring the excitement of Tennis\u00a0Victoria\u2019s Country Week to the Mallee Region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted that Swan Hill will host Tennis Victoria\u2019s Country Week in 2022. This event is special to the Victorian Tennis community and provides a wonderful opportunity to support Regional Victoria and showcase our sport.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis event could not be possible without the support from the Swan Hill Rural City Council and the incredible team of volunteers from the Swan Hill Lawn Tennis Club.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swan Hill Lawn Tennis Club\u2019s Country Week Convenor, John Brookshaw is also excited for what this event will bring to Swan Hill and how it unites the Club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis event gives us the opportunity to work together and showcase our club across Victoria and Australia. We are all working together to promote Tennis and that\u2019s what Country Week is all about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the on court competition, there will be many activities off the court that players can immerse themselves in. The social calendar has a wide range of events for everyone and shines a spotlight on what the town has to offer.<\/p>\n<p>The Sunday before the event, February 13, will also see six new Country Week Legends inducted. To be considered a Country Week Legend, the person must have participated in multiple Country Week events, epitomise what the event is all about and have contributed to the enjoyment of fellow players.<\/p>\n<p>Tennis Victoria is pleased to welcome back the EJ Whitten Foundation and Beyond Blue as well as Friedreich Ataxia Research Association (FARA Australia) to Country Week to support our players and raise awareness for their causes.
