Tennis Victoria<\/strong> are delighted to announce the state teams representing Victoria<\/strong> at the 2021 Australian Teams Championships<\/strong> starting on Friday in Carrara, Queensland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Representative teams from all Australian States and Territories and New Zealand <\/strong>will descend on the Gold Coast for the highest representative event for Victorian junior tennis players in the 11\/u, 13\/u and 15\/u age groups<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 11\/u and 13\/u championships<\/strong> commence on Friday<\/strong>, followed by the 15\/u championships beginning next Thursday July 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Players have been selected based on results from a combination of both their Australian Ranking (AR) and their Universal Tennis Rating (UTR).<\/p>\n

Tennis Victoria\u2019s Player Pathways Lead, Andrew Reynolds<\/strong>, was thrilled to announce the Victorian teams and rewarding players for their impressive performances to date.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll players representing Victoria in the Australian Teams Championships should \u00a0be extremely proud,\u201d Reynolds said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese players are not only selected on their results, but also on their commitment to the sport across 12 months of the year. It will be a wonderful team experience and we wish everyone a successful trip to Queensland and a great event.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tennis Australia\u2019s National Development Squad Coach, Performance – Victoria, Simon Rea<\/strong>, is looking forward to the championships in Queensland and high level competition for the Victorian juniors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are looking forward to an opportunity for competitive play at the highest level for our Victorian teams\u201d Rea explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis group of players have overcome adversity in recent weeks with on-court restrictions in Victoria, and we are very excited for an opportunity to go to Queensland and play against the best juniors across Australia and New Zealand.\u201d<\/p>\n
