Congratulations to all players that have been selected as part of the 2021 Zone Squads in Regional Victoria.<\/p>\n

Zone squads are an opportunity for coaching by TA staff and competitive practice and match play against the best up and coming kids in the three regional zones.<\/p>\n

Tennis Victoria spoke to successful Bendigo Zone Squad representative, Isabella Crossman<\/strong> on her selection earlier this week:<\/p>\n

TV: What does it mean to be selected for a Zone Squad?<\/strong><\/p>\n

IC: It is great to be recognized in my regional zone and have the opportunity to train with my peers and other qualified coaches.<\/p>\n

TV: This is a large part of the Tennis pathway – How will this improve your tennis?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Practice and training is very important. So to do it with my peers and other coaches, I am very lucky. It will improve my tennis because of the match play, advice, guidance, coaching techniques given to me.<\/p>\n

TV: Where do you hope this will lead you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

IC: I want to play on the circuit and all opportunities are important.<\/p>\n

TV: How valuable is it to play with and against others talented players in Victoria that are on a similar path?<\/strong><\/p>\n

IC: It’s very important to play with and against my peers. It is great practice and a great way to see where others are travelling with their skills and game.<\/p>\n
