Tennis\nVictoria\u2019s Premier League concluded in emphatic style on Sunday Night with\nKooyong Lawn Tennis Club (Men\u2019s Division) and Royal South Yarra lawn Tennis\nClub (Women\u2019s Division) crowned champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a new, fresh format of Premier League which saw 3-days of intense, tournament-like Tennis for the players, it was Kooyong and Royal South Yarra who were 2020\u2019s best, putting together quality Tennis from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Men\u2019s\nDivision, after finishing second on the ladder, Kooyong defeated MCC Glen Iris\nValley in the Semi Final on Sunday Morning and followed up by overcoming Royal\nSouth Yarra in the Grand Final at Albert Reserve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Omar Jasika and Jacob Grills won their rubbers in straight sets and the highly fancied matchup between Marc Polmans and Harry Bourchier went to a first set tiebreaker, which Polmans won.
Bourchier then led 5-2 in the second set before information of the other rubbers put the result beyond doubt for Kooyong LTC, two rubbers to nil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Women\u2019s Division Grand Final match between Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Club and Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club was always going to be a close contest, after the Round 4 matchup was narrowly won two rubbers to one to Beaumaris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Storm Sanders (Royal South Yarra) and Pranjala Yadlapalli (Beaumaris) took the showcourt with Sanders continuing her great UTR form, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. In the other singles matches, Ellen Perez (Royal South Yarra) won her rubber 6-3, 6-0 and Olivia Symons (Beaumaris) won convincingly 6-1, 6-1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Royal South Yarra won two rubbers to one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
