{"id":22397,"date":"2020-05-12T11:42:16","date_gmt":"2020-05-12T01:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/?p=22397"},"modified":"2020-08-05T09:57:17","modified_gmt":"2020-08-04T23:57:17","slug":"covid-19-return-to-tennis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news\/2020\/05\/12\/covid-19-return-to-tennis","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Return to Tennis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tennis Victoria is delighted that following the easing of restrictions by State Government in Victoria, we can now recommend that some limited forms of tennis\u00a0can restart\u00a0from\u00a013 May 2020.<\/p>\n<p>We sincerely thank everyone in the tennis community for your patience and for sticking with us through this very difficult time.<\/p>\n<p>To support the Victorian tennis community in restarting play and coaching we have developed a comprehensive\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news-and-events\/covid-19-community-tennis-return-to-tennis\">Return to Tennis Toolkit<\/a>.<\/b><b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Clubs,\u00a0centres\u00a0and coaches have been invited to use the information in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news-and-events\/covid-19-community-tennis-return-to-tennis\"><b>Return to Tennis Toolkit<\/b><\/a>\u00a0to assess\u00a0their\u00a0capability to provide a safe environment\u00a0if they wish to reopen their club.<\/p>\n<p>The Toolkit includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/doc\/return-to-tennis-guidelines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Guidelines<\/b><\/a>\u00a0for restarting play safely and within the revised Government restrictions<\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/files\/2020\/05\/Return-to-Tennis-Checklist-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Checklist<\/b><\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0things to consider before opening<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/news-and-events\/covid-19-community-tennis-return-to-tennis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Resources<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/a>to assist reopening, such as posters and templates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Toolkit was developed with input from a number of\u00a0club volunteers,\u00a0centre\u00a0operators, coaches and association representatives.\u00a0 Thank you to everyone who joined our discussions to support and advise us.<\/p>\n<p>We know the last few weeks have been challenging, and we have appreciated all the support Tennis Victoria has received from the tennis community.\u00a0 It will take a little while before we are fully up and running but we are excited to help our clubs and\u00a0coaches\u00a0take this positive first step.<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0have\u00a0worked together to stay #offthecourt and now we\u00a0look forward to working with you\u00a0to #returntotennis<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tennis Victoria update 12 May 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6228,"featured_media":22398,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-22397","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/22397","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6228"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=22397"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/22397\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/22398"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=22397"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=22397"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/vic\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=22397"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
