Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2018 Victorian Tennis Awards, to be presented at the Tennis Victoria Champions Dinner on Monday 22 October.<\/p>\n
Now in its seventh year, the Victorian Tennis Awards include the coveted Most Outstanding Club or Centre as well as awards for Volunteer Achievement, Coaching Excellence, Most Outstanding School, Most Outstanding Tournament and Junior Athlete of the Year.<\/p>\n
For the third year, Local Government Area\u2019s continue to be recognised with the awarding of the Supporting Tennis \u2013 Local Government Award. <\/em>Congratulations to the City of Boroondara, Hume City Council and Wyndham City Council on being named a finalist.<\/p>\n In a first for the Victorian Tennis Awards, West Lalor Tennis Club is heavily represented with a finalist in three categories – Most Outstanding Club or Centre, Volunteer Achievement and Coaching Excellence.<\/p>\n Kyvalley Tennis Club, after folding for 5 years brought themselves out of extinction through the work of some dedicated champions of the club. The population of Kyvalley is 329 and the club has 260 members. Being nominated as finalist of the Victorian Tennis Awards is a testament to the hard work of the volunteers of the Kyvalley Tennis Club.<\/p>\n Gippsland proved it is a strong area for tournaments with two of the three finalists being from the region.
