The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges.

The full Top 100 list can be viewed HERE.

Tennis Victoria ranked 62nd on the overall list, from over 1000 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The assessment measures a top innovation implemented in the past twelve months.

Specifically, the judges look at how valuable the problem is that the innovation is solving, the quality and uniqueness of the solution, and the level of impact that the innovation has had. Inventium assesses internal elements such as innovation culture, strategy, resources and process, which demonstrate a sustainable and repeatable approach to innovation.

Tennis Victoria was thrilled to be recognised for our piloting of the Opening Up Tennis initiative and close collaboration with Tennis Australia in the national rollout of Book A Court.

Book A Court is an online court booking and payment platform that connects with pin pad technology on a tennis club’s gate. It is easy to use for both players and club administrators, which means more time on court for everyone.

Tennis Victoria CEO, Matthew Kennedy, was thrilled with the announcement.

“This is a significant achievement and one the entire team at Tennis Victoria is very excited by. Tennis Victoria is committed to industry change that adds value to our clubs and players, and Book A Court is a great example of how that works,” Kennedy said.

“We sincerely thank Tennis Australia for its ongoing national leadership and support of the program. If not for its continued partnership assistance, an accolade like this wouldn’t have been possible. And the same goes for the administrators of all the community tennis clubs involved to date.

“Book A Court is a strategic priority for us at Tennis Victoria and it’s been a rewarding journey to see so many tennis clubs open up their facilities further. In 2017/18 more than 40,000 bookings were recorded from the 54 clubs now involved in Book A Court.

“We are well on our way to having 10 percent of our 811 clubs and centres actively using Book A Court by the end of 2018/19,” he said.

Previous winners of the list include Xero, Planet Innovation and M&C Saatchi.

Today, Tennis Victoria was honoured to be recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Most Innovative Companies

[1

post-19123","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
