Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the 2018 Pizzey Cup team.<\/p>\n
These students will take to the courts at the UQ Sport Tennis Centre between 28 April and 6 May in what will surely be an enthralling display of tennis.<\/p>\n
The Pizzey Cup is a prestigious national schools tennis championships open to students from year seven through to year 12 inclusive.<\/p>\n
The Pizzey Cup is conducted by SSA in partnership with Tennis Australia. The national event attracts Australian Ranking points. In addition, an individual 18\/u singles event, attracting Platinum AR points, known as the Australia Cup, is run in conjunction with the Teams event.<\/p>\n
Tennis Victoria Player Support and Events Administrator, Jessica McCormack is hopeful the group of students will bring home some strong results.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would like to congratulate the 16 players that were selected to represent Victoria, it\u2019s a significant achievement,\u201d McCormack said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope they enjoy their time in Queensland and are able to look back on this event as a personal highlight.<\/p>\n
\u201cHistorically we have had strong results and we\u2019re confident this team will continue that trend and do our state proud,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
