The first year of the newly formed Associations Junior League (AJL) has witnessed high-quality tennis played by Victoria\u2019s next generation of stars across metropolitan Melbourne and Geelong.<\/p>\n
As the season draws to a close, the Player of the Year awards have been announced.<\/p>\n
The award is presented to the best performing player in each division of Associations Junior League, taking into account their singles and doubles results throughout the home and away season.<\/p>\n
This year sees the first time the award will be presented to all grades and not just those participating in the A grade for each age group.<\/p>\n
The Boys 16A top award was won by Eastern Regions\u2019<\/strong> Aaron Cartledge <\/strong>who scored 283 out of a possible 300 points. <\/strong>Aaron will be hoping he can continue his good form as he leads the Eastern Region 16A team into the Grand Final this weekend against North Eastern Junior.<\/p>\n Vanessa Alfaro<\/strong> from Eastern Region<\/strong> took out the top prize in the Girls 14A competition scoring a floorless 300 points.
