Waverley Tennis Association have gone back-to-back at the Association\/Regional Teams Challenge, taking home the title for the second year running.<\/p>\n

The team, which comprised of boys and girls across the\u00a012\/u, 14\/u, 16\/u & 18\/u age groups, defeated\u00a0Eastern Region Tennis 19-136 to 12-112 on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Wodonga Tennis Association hosted the event, which forms part of Tennis Victoria’s Regional Team Event Series.<\/p>\n

“The final was a close encounter from the first ball hit to the last,” said Tournament Director and Tennis Victoria Tournaments and Events Administrator Shelly Hart. “Thank you to Wodonga Tennis Centre and their helpers for the running of a smooth event.”<\/p>\n

In the Play-off for third place,\u00a0North Eastern Junior Tennis Association 29-172 def Goulburn 3-71.<\/p>\n

The next event on the Regional Team Events calendar will see players head to Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club for the Wayne Arthurs Cup. More information<\/a>.<\/p>\n
