Tennis Victoria are pleased to announce the state teams who will be representing Victoria at the Australian Teams Championships,<\/strong> which will be played at Melbourne Park during Tennis Australia\u2019s December Showdown<\/strong> from the 9-12 December, 2016.<\/p>\n

The Victorian Regional State Team for the 2017 Fed Cup Foundation Interstate Challenge,<\/strong> to be played in Adelaide from 8-13 January, has also been selected.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a credit to all of the players selected on a fantastic year, and these events will be really valuable experience for our younger up-and-coming Victoria players,\u201d said Tennis Victoria Player Development Coordinator Emily Rea.<\/p>\n

The Australian Teams Championships will see teams play against some of the most talented players from around Australia as well as several international teams from Asia Pacific in the 12\/u and 14\/u events.<\/p>\n

Victoria also had six players selected to compete in the event as part of the Tennis Australia \u2018All Stars\u2019 team.<\/p>\n

Victoria have had great success in the events in the past, with the 12\/u boys team crowned Australian Team Champions in 2015, while the 13\/u girls are title holders of the Fed Cup Foundation Interstate Challenge.<\/p>\n
