Tennis Victoria appreciates the many dedicated tennis volunteers for their contributions at all levels across the state, as they are the life blood of our great game.<\/p>\n
Recently, Tennis Victoria Director, Anne Baldwin, has been travelling around Victoria to make special presentations to just some of those worthy volunteers.<\/p>\n
A visit to Melton South Tennis Club saw Trudy Miles \u2013 a dedicated 40 year club member, 30 of those years spent serving as a Committee Member \u2013 recognised with a Tennis Service Award. On the same evening, Beth MacDonald \u2013 whose service to the committee exceeds 49 years \u2013 received a Highly Commended Service Award. Both ladies also have roles with the Melton & District Tennis Association.<\/p>\n
Les McInerney\u00a0\u2013 a long time contributor to tennis in the Geelong region including President of the Gheringhap Tennis Club for over 30 years \u2013 was awarded a Tennis Service Award.<\/p>\n
In front of a huge crowd of all Eastern Region Tennis member clubs, two ERT stalwarts were duly recognised for their significant and lengthy service to the Association. Judith Dungey \u2013 a Committee member for over 15 years at North Ringwood Tennis Club, among other roles \u2013 was presented with a Tennis Service Award, and Fran Absolom \u2013 Executive Director of ERT, and a passionate and significant contributor to tennis \u2013 received a Highly Commended Service Award.<\/p>\n
There are many ways the worthy volunteers at your club or association can be recognised. Volunteers can be officially thanked for their years of service via the Tennis Victoria Volunteer Recognition Program<\/a>.
